Anna C Olsen

Anna C. Olsen age 93, of Portland passed away Friday morning May 8, 2015 at the Cedars Nursing Facility.

She was born in Portland on October 24, 1921 the daughter of Hans and Ane Dorthea Christensen.

In her early life Anna worked for several businesses, including her brother Soren’s print shop. In 1965 she married Svend T. Olsen and they lived in Lynn, Mass until they moved to Portland in 1967 where she returned to work for her brother again until her retirement.

She is predeceased by her parents, husband who died in 1996, sister, Ellen Christensen and brother Soren Christensen.

Anna leaves her brother, Espen Christensen of Portland, 2 nephews; James Christensen of Durham, Thomas Christensen of Bangor and their families, sister-in-law, Gloria Berry of Bridgton and her family.

There will be no visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Tuesday May 12, 2015 at 10AM at St. Ansgar Evangelical Lutheran Church, 515 Woodford St, with Rev. William Barter officiating. Interment will follow at Forest City Cemetery, So. Portland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anna’s memory to St. Ansgar Evangelical Lutheran Church, 515 Woodford St, Portland, Me. 04103.
