

She attended Wilton Academy and graduated in 1941. She later graduated from Bliss Business College in Lewiston.
Beatrice worked on the Portland waterfront as a secretary for Williams Brothers machine shop during WWII where she met Stanley Lowell. They married in March of 1943. In later years she worked briefly at the Portland Post Office and recently part time at Hannaford Brothers.
She was a historian for the Ladies Emblem Club of Portland. She enjoyed spending many summers with family at the cottage on Sebago Lake.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley N. Lowell in 1992 and her sister Edith in 2012
She is survived by her sons: Brian G. Lowell of Portland, Jeffrey V. Lowell of Jaffrey, NH and Craig E. Lowell of New Gloucester. Her grandchildren: Nichole A. Lowell of New Gloucester, Ronald E. Lowell of Gorham and Christopher Lowell formerly of Milo, Me and Roy Sutherland, and three great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a 12:00 PM funeral service for Beatrice this Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, ME. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Cemetery.
