Bertha Edith Walker

Grandmother and great Grandmother as well as aunt!

Although she had lived several years in Florida three years ago she decided to move to a beautiful facility

where she could maintain and live in her own apartment. As you know, she was fiercely independent and

her youngest daughter and husband, Gordon lived 5 minutes away. She became fast friends with people

in her apt. building having little wine & cheese parties and every weekend shopping and lunching with Diana.

She loved to travel and visited Maine and Nj on a regular basis to visit her family. Family was very

important to her and her family will miss this feisty woman who loved her grandchildren and more recently,

Her three great children!

Bertha was survived her children, April Shoemaker ( husband Stephen) Oldwick, NJ, Alan Farstad, Naples, Me., Marcella Sowerby York, Me. Diana Klein (husband Gordon)Elk River, Mn.; Grandchildren: Jamie Sowerby, Mark Sowerby, Eric Farstad, Jonathan Shoemaker, Patrick Shoemaker & Christian Shoemaker; Great Grand children: Annelise Shoemaker, Grace and Henry Shoemaker.
