Beverly Dean Johnson

Beverly was born in Leeds, ME the daughter of Ambrose W. and Iva B. (Hogan) Dean. She attended schools in Unity; graduating from Unity High School class of 1946. After her graduation, Beverly would attend Wilson Medical School, Boston receiving her certification as a Lab/Tech in X-Ray.

Beverly was a Lab/Tech in X-Ray at various hospitals including the former Trull Hospital, Biddeford, the former Osteopathic Hospital of Maine, and the Saco- Lowell Hospital. She also worked with her husband for many years operating the family business Reo Window Shade located at Woodfords Corner until her retirement in 1995.

She was a member of the former Woodfords Merchants Association, and was a member of the North Deering Congregational Church. Beverly also was an avid golfer. Living at Sebago Lake, Beverly and her husband were members for several years and played at the Naples Country Club, and while wintering in Florida they both enjoyed playing golf at various courses.

She was predeceased by her son Robert N. Johnson, Jr., in 1980. Beverly leaves her beloved husband of 64 years Robert N. Johnson, her son, Dean P. Johnson both of Portland, 2 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Mark Rustin officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to The North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave, Portland, ME 04103.
