Portland- Sadly, we have lost a great mother, daughter, sister, and friend. On November 3, 2020, Catrina Seymore passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with addiction. God has gained another angel.
Catrina was born November 5, 1979 in Portland, ME and was the first child of Theresa Seymore and biological father, Matthew Donovan, whom she was predeceased by.
Catrina had rare, unique, and complex soul, the kind of ageless soul, an old soul; that in another life would have inspired artist and writers (words from David Babin). In the words of Hosannah Cousineau: "There is no one, NO ONE, like Catrina Seymore, Never has been, Never will be." She was loved dearly by many.
Those who knew Catrina knew she absolutely LOVED dancing, music, concerts, going out to eat (Gilbert’s Chowder House and the Olive Garden), volleyball, singing and poker; she loved her card nights. She was a HUGE movie buff, always knew movies, characters, actors; her wit and intelligence were hard to rival. She was extremely outgoing and lived life to the beat of her own drum. Catrina was the most neat, tidy, organized person. Anyone who lived with her knew what a clean freak she was, and superficial clean would not do. She demanded the deep kind of clean. Catrina’s smile, laugh, and sense of humor made everyone feel welcome. She was caring and compassionate; always gave what she could and helped others when she could.
Although cliché, her most admired hobby was spending time with her family and friends, especially her children. Her entire world revolved around her children.
Catrina is survived by her sons, Taylor Crawford, Gabe and Troy Fickett, her daughter Layla Watson, her mother, Theresa Seymore and step father, Garry Stewart, her sisters, Tina Doucette and Katelyn Jordan, her brother, Chris Doucette and step brothers John and Stephen Stewart and her very best friend and partner in crime, Bruno Babin; as well as numerous friends whom were dear to her.
If wealth was measured by love, she passed away a rich woman. She was deeply loved by her family and will always be remembered as the beautiful, adventurous, free spirit she was and will be deeply missed by all. Catrina is now at peace. We will always cherish the good memories and times we spent together.
A private Memorial Service will be held that is closed to the public.
