

Portland - Daniel Dean Webster, 56, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Daniel was born October 4, 1954 in Portland, Maine and grew up on Munjoy Hill.
Daniel was a graduate of Portland High; he joined the Navy and subsequently spent time on the Great Lakes. He was member of the Laborers International Union of America and traveled extensively, including to Kauai to help restore communications after their devastating hurricane. Danny lived for a time in both Nevada and Missouri, but Portland was home. He was a member of the Portland Eagles and the Paul Mailia Post.
Danny was always there for his family and friends in need, even while battling cancer he was the primary caregiver for this mother, Joanne. His many nieces and nephews could always count on Uncle Danny.
Daniel is predeceased by his father, Rodney Webster; brothers, Bryant, Barry and Michael Webster.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Joanne Andrews of Portland; two brothers, Rodney and Thomas Webster; his three nieces and three nephews. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Herbie, Lisa and Dianne for all their care and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation Monday, December 27, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated; Tuesday at 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception 72 Federal St. Inurnment will be at a later date in New Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
