

Dianne “DiBiase” Russo
Dianne Russo, age 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family Friday evening January 15, 2016 in Falmouth. She was born in Portland on June 10, 1939, the daughter of Donald and Annie Alexander DiBiase. After graduating from Portland High School in 1957, Dianne went on to work at the former Canal Bank and Trust, and also catered desserts to local restaurants in Maine, and worked at Sears for 25 years as a prestige sales manager until her retirement.
Some of Dianne’s greatest passions were baking and cooking for her family, and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting and dance events. She also enjoyed being a part of the Portland High Boosters Club, and raising money for the High School Football Team. She also served on the Board of Directors for Miss Maine America for many years. She was extremely involved at Saint Peters Episcopal Church through singing in the Church Choir and cooking for and attending church suppers. She enjoyed spending time at the lake and going to the beach with her family and soaking up the sun. Some of her favorite times of the years were during the holidays, and having her entire family together creating memories.
She is predeceased by her husband, Anthony “Bucky” Russo who she married in June of 1960; her parents; Brothers; Mathew “Chow” DiBiase, Rocco “Rocky” DiBiase: and Sisters; Angelina Ferrante, and Mary Ferrante.
Dianne is survived by two sons; Michael Russo and his wife Suzanne of Portland, Benjamin Russo and his girlfriend Cindy Allen of Portland, Daughter, Marjorie Pelzer and her husband Paul of Portland; her 5 Grandchildren; Nicholas, Ariana, Anthony, Paige, and Dominic; her brother Skippy DiBiase and his wife Beverly, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday January 20, from 4-7PM at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland. The funeral service will be held at Saint Peters Episcopal Church 10 Alton St., Portland on Thursday January 21, 2016 at 11AM with Rev. Larry Weeks officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot at New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
