Erwin Raymond Coy
April 17, 1937 – October 5, 2019
He died at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness he was 82 years old.
He married Gwendolyn (Hadakin) and together they raised their family. Erwin worked for Nichols – Parker on the Assembly Line, the Maine Center for the Blind in their workshop sewing knee pads, and Department of Human Services running a vending stand. He as a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Portland and was a member of the Maine Federation for the Blind.
Erwin is survived by his children Rachel Leighton of Westbrook, Ruth Hunter of Livermore Falls, and David Coy of Portland, siblings Florence Hunsinger, Billy and his wife Carmen, Frank and his wife Sharon, Charlie and his wife Cheryl, Stan and his wife Pat, Arthur Coy; his children Rachel Leighton of Westbrook, Ruth Hunter of Livermore Falls and his son David Coy of Portland; his grandchildren James, Laura, Katie, Zachary, Isaiah, Jacob, and Samual; great grandchildren Makayla, Ethan, Sophia, James, Landon, Abby, Jackson, Vincent and River.
He was predeceased by his brothers Gilbert Coy, Harold Coy and Robert Coy, his sisters Frances Coy, Myrtle Freve and Laura Sanborn and his parents John Coy and Florence Coy.
A graveside service will be held on October 17th at 2:00pm at Evergreen Cemetery on Stevens Ave in Portland.

I've got so many memories that ill hang on the rest of my life.
