Ethelyn E. O'Brion

Ethelyn was born on October 16, 1925 the daughter of Patrick and Alice (MeLaugh) Conley in Portland, ME. She lived in Maine all her life and grew up in Libby Town. She graduated from Deering High School in 1943.

She married the love of her life, Harold (Obie) O’Brion on March 3, 1945 and she never loved another. She worked at Porteous until starting her family and at Fairchild for a while after they were older until retiring from Brighton Ave Pharmacy as a Data Input Technician.

She is survived by her three children Judith Doyon, Susan and her husband James Macfarlane, and Martin Sr. and his wife Deborah O’Brion; seven grandchildren Daren Hotham, Stacie (David) Nielsen, Krista(David) Doherty, Jay Macfarlane, Martin (Kelley) O'Brion Jr, Kara (Ryan) Sullivan and John (Jennifer) O’Brion; Eleven Great Grandchildren Christopher, Michael (Samantha), Alexander, Nathaniel, Cody, Ashleigh, Robert, Shannon, Patrick, and twins Hadley and Roslyn; and two Great Great Grandchildren Jessica Lin and Alan Harold; her brother John (Jeanette) Conley; three sister in laws Carolyn (Fred) Fuller, Elizabeth (Louis) Conley, Laura (Raymond); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends all of whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her brothers Louis, Harold, Raymond and Charles Jay.

The family would like to invite you to offer your condolences and share memories on Sunday December 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St, Portland ME 207-775-3763. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua, 268 Brown St, Westbrook on Monday December 11th at 10:00am followed by a committal service at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
