

Westbrook, ME---Frank Cummings Wilson, Jr., 99 years old, passed away on July 26, 2026 at Genesis Springbrook Center, Westbrook, Maine. Born in Falmouth, Maine on March 4, 1927, Frank was the son of Frank Cummings Wilson Sr. and Belle Louise Ingersoll Wilson.
At seventeen years old, Frank joined the Navy in February, 1945. Due to illness, Frank was honorably discharged in January 1946. After returning home, he completed High School and remained at home to assist running the family’s 42 acre farm.
In September of 1957, Frank married Tressa M. Crampe in Falmouth, Maine, and together, they raised three children.
In 1967, Frank bought a log cabin camp on West Richardson Pond in the western mountains of Maine. He spent 56 summers there with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, boating, and just relaxing at the camp. He also liked playing poker and was very good at playing Rummy.
In 1970, Frank sold the family farm, keeping 12 acres where he built a new home. He stayed at this home until his passing.
Frank is predeceased by his parents, Frank Sr. and Belle, his sister Margaret (“Aunt Meg”), and his brother Edgar (who died at 5 months old in 1925).
He is survived by his Daughter, Cindy, of Buckfield, his Son, Frank III, of Falmouth, his Daughter, Betsy, of Scarborough, his Granddaughter, Jessica Childs and her husband Kyle Hancock, Great-Grandson, Landon, of Westbrook, and Grandson, Nicholas Childs, and his wife, Abigail, of Fort Collins, CO.
There will be a private Graveside Service.
