

Gail F. Hopkins, 59, of Portland, passed away peacefully at her home on December 5, 2013 with her loving family by her side following a courageous and dignified battle with cancer.
Gail was born in Portland on July 5, 1954, the daughter of the late Peter Sr. and Mary L. (Green) Reali.
Gail grew up in Portland and attended local schools. She was a 1972 graduate of Deering High School. For many years Gail worked at Fairchild Semiconductor, and most recently worked as a TSA agent for the Department of Homeland Security. Gail was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. She will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
Predeceasing Gail was her son Garrett, her parents, and a brother Peter Reali Jr.
Gail is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Timothy Hopkins, a son Wesley Hopkins, and a daughter Rachel Hopkins all of Portland; son Jeffrey Cullen and his wife Stacy and their son Cody all of New Gloucester. Also surviving are her three sisters, Dianne Bowie of Gray, Nancy Napolitano of Portland, Brigida Barnes of Portland; a brother John Alfiero of Raymond, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
A period of visitation for Gail will be held this Thursday, December 12th from 4 to 7 PM at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial for Gail will be celebrated at St. Peter’s R.C. Church, 72 Federal St. Portland on Friday the 13th.
