I was very sad to hear of Jackie's passing. She was the founding Principal here at Poland Regional High School and I co-advised Roundtable with her for three years. We stayed in touch for many years after she left Poland. She loved kids which explains why she was in education for so many years. She always talked about her kids and I felt like I knew them though we never met. She was a very special person and I'm very sorry for your loss.

Dear Soychak Family,

I am so sorry for your loss...Jackie was a wonderful and caring Principal at SPHS. My two children graduated and I worked for her during her tenure at SPHS. I loved talking with her... hearing the love for her family that always shined in her talks. Whenever my son, Rob, had a picture in the Portland Press Herald Jackie would always clip the article and send me a copy. A very thoughtful lady...RIP Jackie
