

Jean Cluett Clothier, 87, of Scarborough, passed away at Sedgewood Commons in Falmouth on May 23, 2016. Jean was born in Bucksport on June 28, 1928, to Maria (Cluett) and Capt. Mathew Critchell. She attended Arlington High School in Arlington, Mass. Jean married Royce Smith and together they had two daughters, Sandra and Jessica (Phyllis). She worked as a home delivery milkman delivering milk door-to-door in Bucksport, Orland and Verona Island, until the mid-1960s when the business was sold. Royce and Jean later divorced and Jean married Arthur Clement (Clem) Clothier, the widowed husband of Jean's cousin Rhoda. Arthur had one son, Matthew. Before retiring to Murphy Cove, Nova Scotia, with Clem, Jean worked a number of years at the Liberty National Bank in Bucksport and enjoyed servicing the public once again. Jean loved to cook and especially liked baking pies and frying chocolate donuts. She liked to travel, and traveled across the USA via car; lived in Murphy Cove, Nova Scotia; Albuquerque, N.M.; Flower Mound, Texas; Glen Allen, Virginia; and back to Maine. She visited Hawaii twice, Mexico and Canada, and most recently went to Ireland to find the home where her stepfather grew up. Jean was proud of her dual citizenship with Canada and the USA. Jean is survived by her daughter Sandra Robshaw and her husband Jeffrey of Bucksport, daughter Jessica (Phyllis) Moretti and husband Michael of Scarborough, one granddaughter Racheal Robshaw, and two great-grand- children Remington and Natalie. She was predeceased by her parents, four sisters, one brother, and husbands Royce and Arthur (Clem).A memorial service will be held at St Alban's Episcopal Church, 885 Shore Rd, Cape Elizabeth, on June 4, 2016, at 2 p.m..
