

Gray, ME – John “Jack” E. Fitzpatrick, 46, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2010, at Maine Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
The youngest of six children he was born on November 28, 1963 the precious son of John N. & Glennis I. (Fortier) Fitzpatrick of Scarborough. He attended local area schools and graduated from Deering High School as a member of the class of 1982,
Jack was employed by JB Brown for 22 years and took pride in a hard days work. A busy landlord, he still found time for family, camping, snowmobiling, boating, four wheeling and muscle cars.
Uncle Jack was a favorite by his many nieces and nephews. He knew how to have a good time!
Jack loved his family and had an enormous heart and spirit; he loved life and was always there to help others.
Jack is survived by his parents, his devoted loving wife, Cindy Fitzpatrick of Gray as well as his son Nicholas Fitzpatrick, daughter Natasha Fitzpatrick and step daughters Carol and Becky Lockhart all of Gray. He also leaves two brothers Dan Fitzpatrick and his wife Jeri of Gray and Michael Fitzpatrick and his wife Carolyn of Yarmouth; three sisters Nancy Spear of Yarmouth, Carol Fitzpatrick of Westbrook and Mary Spear and her fiancé Ken Tibbetts of Westbrook; nine nieces, two nephews, three great nieces, three great nephews and his very best friend Tony Depalmer.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kurt Ebrahim and all the doctors and nurses at Maine Medical Center for the loving care, grace and dignity they had shown Jack.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, from 4-7 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Philip Shearman officiating.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland, ME.
