

Born September 7, 1940 to Joseph M. Graham II & Margaret R. (McCarthy) Graham.. He was raised in Cambridge MA where he met his wife Joan A (Butler) Graham. He proudly served in the US Navy from June of 1959 until June of 1962.
Joe & Joan were married September 7, 1963 and after the birth of their third child settled in Natick MA for 31 years. After accepting early retirement from NYNEX, he worked part time driving for Accept Transportation & then JFK Transportation until fully retiring in 2003 when he moved to Sarasota FL & Wells ME with his wife Joan. They returned to New England in 2023 to be closer to their children, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Joe was deeply involved in studying genealogy, tracing family trees for not only himself, but many friends & loved ones. He was proud of his Irish ancestry, making a trip with his wife to Ireland in the late 1990's. He was a longtime member of Tiara, The Irish Ancestral Research Association, serving as treasurer for a time. He also enjoyed being the Bingo caller at his mobile home park, Desoto Place in Florida
Birdwatching was another hobby that brought him great joy. Whether it was at local Audubon Society's or feeding the many birds that would come to his home in Acton. He liked to say "I'm going to feed the Flying Pigs" when he restocked his many bird feeders. He secretly enjoyed the challenge of keeping the squirrels from raiding the feeders.
Joe is survived by his Brother John P. Graham & his wife Phyllis (Marson) Graham of Northborough MA. His three children, David M. Graham & his wife Meghan Pelrine of Belmont MA, Christine D. Thome of Acton ME with whom he lived, Beverley J. Bryan & her Partner Mike Costello of Kennebunk ME & Ft. Lauderdale FL.His Sister's In Law Carole Phillips of Sarasota FL,, Barbara Dorsey & her husband Walter of Wolfeboro NH. His Granddaughter Klaryssa L. Bryan of Limerick ME, Grandson's Max & James of Belmont MA, three Great Granddaughters, Rylle, Makayla & Sophia of Limerick ME as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, In Laws William A & Lucille E. (Gill) Butler, His Brother's in law Donald Doucette & James Butler.His Son's in Law Russell Thome & Robert L. Bryan Sr. & his Granddaughter Kasey E. Bryan.
A joint Celebration of Life for Joseph & Joan will be held in Acton ME on August 16, 2026 at the Town Hall from 11-2PM. All are welcome to join.
