My deepest sympathies to Joe’s family.
I will always remember Joe as my 1 st childhood sweetheart. My special memory of us was swinging on the swing at the Cerebral Palsy school. I always enjoyed visiting Joe and his family at their home.

In my younger years going to the Kilbride house was a treat. I remember the flurry of activity that was always going on and the sense of family that was always present. In the center of this was the spirit and smile of Joe, whose antics never failed, and who was usually the creator of the amusement. Years later, after reconnecting with Linda, we went to lunch and it was a pleasure when she appeared with Joe. Nothing had changed, we were all in stitches during the meal due to Joe who always had a way of spreading his infectious smile and laughter.  My condolences to the Kilbride family.  What a privilege to be able to spend life with a soul like Joe who taught us all lessons in the face of adversity.  I hope that through this difficult time that smile and laughter will resound in your hearts and ease the grief of this loss.  Fly high Joe!  RIP to someone who was a great gift to all.

I never knew Joe as an adult.  I remember him when we were kids, and I was a friend of his sister Ann Marie.  They lived on Stevens Avenue, and every time I visited them Joe was always smiling.  The Kilbrides are a wonderful family, and I am very sorry for your loss.  Joe has joined Charlie and is now free of all the physical issues he dealt with here.

I'm offering my condolences to the Kilbride family.   You lost a remarkable young man.   I always enjoyed seeing Joe at any of the family occasions that I attended.  Joe always seemed happy to be with his family.  I'm sure that Joe loved family most of all.  I'm also sure that you will all see him again.

I was (and continue to be,  just in a different way) a longtime friend of Sister Betty (to whom I became quite close through our work together at Saint Joe's) and Sister Pat (through Sister Betty). While I never met Joe, I heard all about him and his indomitable spirit.  He was certainly loved by Betty and Pat, and no doubt by all of the Kilbride clan. Joe Kilbride was the purest soul I’ve ever met. I don’t recall a mean thing he ever said about anyone- even when he was upset. He was loyal and always kept in close contact, where other friends and family often fall short. He called me almost every day. That’s what made me know I was really important to him. I tried to reciprocate by making him laugh, which is something we enjoyed together. Over the years we shared a lot of funny little daily mishaps and occasional adventures together. 

I will always love Joe and I will never forget him. Let him have peace forever.

To all the Kilbride family, I was so saddened hearing of Joe's passing.  I was thinking how many years I have known him.  At least 50! He was such a good man with a wonderful sense of humor and kindness.  So many memories.  Unfortunately I am unable to attend his services.  Wouldn't you know it, I am already committed to attending a celebration of life for an old friend.  Same day, same time 
  I will be thinking of all of you and sending a big hug your way.

To the entire family . I am so sorry for your loss. What a guy. What an inspiration to so many of us (including my dad). I always enjoyed bumping into to him every now and then over the years. I fondly remember as kids you could not go into the Kilbride home on Steven's Ave without Joe challenging you to arm wrestle!! He'd be swinging off those bunkbeds and every so often have Jim in a headlock!!! Rest easy Joe .Im sure your reunited with your dad. God bless and an extra big hug to Mrs.K

My favorite memory of Joe is watching Ferris Bueller‘s Day out it is the scene where the Sister kicks the principal on the face, and Joe got to laughing so hard that the recliner he was sitting in tipped over his legs were sticking straight up in the air and he was still cackling and laughing so hard we laughed until we cried I remember saying Joe OK he says oh yeah I’m fine. I so appreciated his sincere humor and laughter and I’m proud to call cousin. Love you guys are in my prayers.
