Judith Ann Della Valle passed away on Friday April 23, 2021 at Mercy Hospital due to complications from COVID 19. Judie was born on January 11th 1938 in Portland, ME to parent’s Sue Ann and Donald Della Valle. She was a woman of incredible talent, wit, beauty with a warm heart who lit up every room she entered.
In High School, she was a cheerleader and skilled bowler for the Rams, graduating from Deering High School with the class of 1956. Judie created lifelong friendships while there which she cherished throughout her years. She then continued her education at the University of New Hampshire before returning home to marry and raise a family.
Judie joined her father Donald in their family business - Valle’s Steak House. She was a pioneer for working women everywhere, establishing her leadership role in Valle’s before its closing in 2000. She loved combining work and family focusing on creating an enjoyable environment for everyone close to her.
Judie enjoyed spending time with her three children: Victoria, Jay, and Suzanne. She was a lifelong avid skier on the slopes of Maine and around the world. She enjoyed taking trips with her family and traveling the world with the love of her life of 32 years, Frank Thiboutot. She also loved spending time with her seven grandchildren, whether it was on vacation at the beach, playing golf, going out to dinner, or spending time at her home in Cumberland Foreside, Maine or on Fisher Island in Miami, Florida.
Judie was always energetic and as bright as a glittering star. She will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate to be blessed by her glow.
