She was born March 27, 1940, in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Dorothy and William Dellatorre. She graduated from Deering High School in 1959.
Judy grew up working in the family business, Portland Lumber, on Forest Avenue with her father and brothers until the time of its closing. She eventually worked her way up to the position of Vice President. Her amazing knowledge and expertise of lumber and building materials were unparalleled for women of her generation. The remainder of her career was spent working for True Value Hardware in Portland.
Judy delighted those around her and truly valued the simple things in life. For example, she had a passion for yard sales, always looking for that special something for someone else. Other passions of hers were getting in the car and going for a ride, ice cream, working in the yard and gardening. The highlights of her life were spending time with and supporting her children and grandchildren in any way she could. She was an avid sports fan, whether rooting for the Red Sox or attending Little League games. From her husband to her children to her grandchildren, she made every effort to be there watching and supporting the ones she loved.
Judy was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by her husband of 56 years, Ronald A. Farr Sr., daughters, Lori Farr, Lisa Irish, and son, Ronald Farr Jr. and his wife Jane, her three grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, and Andrew Farr, her dedicated big brother, Irving Dellatorre, many nephews and nieces, and her very best friend in the entire world, Sally Queen. She was predeceased by her loving brother Richard Dellatorre.
The family would like to thank the people whom she truly adored and were such a big part of her journey, including Dr. Susan Miesfeldt, Dr. Heather Schwemm, Dr. Evan's, Dr. Wrona and their entire team, along with the supportive and caring staff at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
