Karen will be sadly missed by so many people. She was a very rare person that combined warmth, beauty, and caring in such a great way. I feel very lucky to have known her and to have shared some fun and special memories. She has had such a positive impact on all the people she touched during her time with us. My thoughts and prayers are with all her family and friends.

I, too am an old field hockey and high school friend of Karen. She did have an infectious smile. She would want us all to remember to cherish each and every day as if it were our last.

Connor, Tyler and Nicole my thoughts are with you and I send great big hugs. You have a great big family at WMS and WHS. I want your mom to rest knowing that we will take great care of you. My thoughts and prayers are also with the Henigan family and Paul and Mariah Henick. So sorry for your loss.

On behalf of my family, myself and my late wife Patty please accept our condolences on your loss of Karen.
Patty worked with her in the Westbrook system for many years. Although I did not know her that well very few days went by that Patty did not mention her and the great courage that she showed in her battle with the cancer in her body. I will never forget her determination to raise her family and her caring. Patty was so pleased when Karen and
friends came to visit her during her own battle. I am sure that they are reunited in heaven. Karen was one of Patty's best friends. Your family will be in my prayers. God Bless You and take. care.

Our heartfelt sympathy's go out to all of you. We only knew Karen for a short time, but she was, for us, an example of courage and a role model of "how to dance with cancer". Those of us in the Windham Cancer Support Group met with Karen about this time last year and were able to help her in her battle for just a little. She is still an inspiration. Remember Karen for her example of courage and not for the loss from her death.
