Kelly Minervino Clarke

Kelly Clarke, 62, passed away on September 13, 2026. She was born in Biddeford Maine on March 17, 1964 to parents Julia and Stephen Minervino. She spent her childhood in South Portland with her parents and siblings.

Kelly graduated from South Portland High School in 1982. She held many different jobs over the years but spent most of her career in property management at Krainin Real Estate, where she made treasured lifelong friendships.

She married Thomas (Jay) Clarke. Together they had two children Abigail and Ellen. Kelly was an incredibly devoted mother, always there to support and encourage her daughters.

Kelly enjoyed collecting antiques to display, and redistributing some of her quirky finds to others. She also loved finding eclectic jewelry pieces to add to her own wardrobe, always showing up dressed fashionably and uniquely herself. She was an avid pokemon-go player and would hit all the poke stops on her route, sometimes having to explain to the police what she was doing parked in an otherwise empty lot. Most of all, her favorite pastime was being with the ones she loved. Kelly was a true light in this world and cared deeply about her family, friends, and even went out of her way to help strangers, like jumping in to help the overwhelmed staff at a busy restaurant. She wanted everyone to feel loved and happy, and she succeeded in this. While she spent much time and effort caring about others, she was loved just as much in return. Being "Ninny" to her two grandsons Sawyer and Nolan brought immense joy and love to her life. She also had a soft spot for all of her grand pets.

She is survived by her mother, Julia Minervino; sister, Laura Minervino and wife Robin Elliott; her daughters, Abby Clarke and partner Robert, Ellen Grindel and husband Evan; her grandchildren Sawyer Clark and Nolan Grindel; her aunt Mary Chapman and husband Bruce; and a large extended family of cousins, aunts, and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Stephen Minervino; her brother, Andrew Minervino; her former husband Jay Clarke; her mother in law Lyn Clarke; and her beloved dog Trixie.

Relatives and friends are invited to A Time of Visitation on Wednesday September 23rd from 3 PM - 5:30 PM, followed by her Memorial Service beginning at 5:30 PM at Jones Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland.
