Portland – Kenneth S. Duncan, 83 of Portland passed away on January 1, 2019 at Maine Medical Center. He was born on May 1, 1935 the son of John E and Rose (Chamberlain) Duncan. He was married to Virginia Lemieux and together they raised their 3 children.
He graduated from Portland High School and immediately went to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked the majority of his life for the U.S. Postal Service in the maintenance department. Kenneth was a quiet man with a big heart. He enjoyed to fish, garden, an avid circus fan, a longtime member of Circus Fans of America, and a lifetime member of VFW Post 832 South Portland.
He is survived his children Mary Duncan of Raymond, Paul Duncan of Portland, and Ken Duncan of Westbrook; two grandchildren Joseph Knight and AnnMarie Brown; as well as two great grandchildren Selena Walgreen and Chloe Tompson. He was predeceased by his wife and granddaughter Jessica
The family would like to invite you to attend visiting hours on Sunday January 6th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St, Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday the 7th at 11:00am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Stevens Avenue followed by committal services at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
