Born in Portland on June 8, 1963, Kevin was the son of Helen T. Olesen and the late Robert B. Olesen. He was the loving partner and husband of almost 42 years to Elizabeth A. Olesen. He was the proud father of his sons, Jonathon C. Olesen and Casey M. Olesen. He fondly welcomed his daughters-in-law: Deepa, Jonathon’s wife, and Kelsey, Casey’s wife. Nothing made him happier than becoming “B” to his grandson, Maxwell.
It would come as no surprise to all who knew Kevin that some of his favorite moments were spent skiing the slopes of Shawnee Peak, listening to his favorite bands, perfecting a good smoked meat, or spending the summer days at his happy place—the family camp on Little Sebago Lake. Those days, surrounded by the family and good friends he loved, were the moments he treasured the most.
Kevin had an easy smile, a steady presence, and a way of making everyone feel at home. He was a partner to his Elizabeth through all of life’s seasons, and his sons looked up to him not just as their father, but as their example of what a good man should be. His love showed up in the small, everyday ways that meant the most to his loved ones.
Kevin will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
A private service for Kevin will be held on March 28, 2026. In lieu of flowers, his family would ask that donations be made in his honor to the Warrior Dog Foundation— a cause close to Kevin’s heart.
