

Kristina passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2026, at the age of 73, after a prolonged but courageous battle with illness.
Born on September 1, 1952, in South Portland, Maine, Kristina was the cherished daughter of the late William and Lillian Wilkinson. She was predeceased by her loving parents, whose memory she always held close to her heart. Kristina was a dedicated and passionate individual who found joy in every aspect of life. She graduated from South Portland High School in 1970, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career as a Network Engineer with Verizon, where she excelled and eventually retired. Her dedication and skill earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and friends alike.
On September 7, 1974, Kristina married the love of her life, Larry Chambers. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, marked by shared adventures, laughter, and mutual support. Larry was by her side through every step of her life's journey, a constant source of strength and love.
Kristina had a zest for life that was evident in her hobbies and interests. She had a passion for crafts of all types, mastering many, and was particularly proud of her projects with her local knitting group. Her creations were not just works of art but expressions of her love and warmth, bringing joy to those around her.
Kristina also had a sincere love for flowers and her pets, often finding solace and happiness in their presence. A compassionate and active member of the Westbrook Woman's Club, Kristina dedicated her time and talents to her community. Her generous spirit and commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Kristina is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Chambers, who will forever cherish the countless memories they made together. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A service to celebrate Kristina's life will be held on July 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home, located at 199 Woodford Street, Portland, ME. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring her life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kristina's memory to the American Cancer Society, an organization close to her heart.
Kristina's light shone brightly in this world, and although she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to illuminate the lives of those she touched. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
