Portland, ME – Lorraine A. (Wellman) Morris, 89, of Portland and formerly of Westbrook and Gorham died Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Scarborough, ME on July 29, 1921 the only daughter of Arthur Wallace & Laura C. (Whitmore) Wellman. She attended local area schools and graduated from Deering High School.
Lorraine, who took care of her mother for much of her life, enjoyed knitting and spending days at the family camp in Bingham.
She is survived by her daughter Lorrie A. Carleton and her husband Gregory of Westbrook and their children Kevin S. Bridgham of Scarborough, Lisa M. Bridgham of South Portland and Marcie L. Welsch and her husband Joseph also of South Portland.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland.
Interment in Forest City Cemetery will be private.
