Madeline Barbara Williams

FALMOUTH -- Mrs. Madeline (Stewart) Williams, 92, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, in a local hospital.

Madeline was born on Aug. 17, 1918, in Augusta, the daughter of the late Scott and Bertha Stewart. Madeline attended Beal Business College in Augusta and was employed by Central Maine Power. She also worked for the Maine Department of Labor: Unemployment Compensation Commission.

Madeline married G. Seth Williams Jr. on Aug. 24, 1943, in Tullahoma, Tenn. They were blessed with two wonderful sons whom she raised and loved deeply. Many memories were made early in life as she enjoyed her summers in Harpswell and then later, with her husband, traveling and sailing.

Madeline was predeceased by her loving husband of 64 years, G. Seth Williams Jr. Madeline is survived by her sons, G. Seth Williams III and his wife Deborah Tracy of Belgrade, Thomas S. Williams Sr. and his wife Jean Meduski of Scarborough; her grandson, T. Scott Williams Jr. and his wife Shelley; and her great-granddaughter, Kelsey Williams.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at 10 a.m., at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Illingworth officiating.
