
AUGUSTA – Malcolm Blodgett passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 14, 2012 at the Maine General Hospital. Malcolm was born in North Conway, New Hampshire on December 4, 1953.
Malcolm had a passion for the outdoors his hobbies included hiking and outdoor photography; with the Presidential Mountain Range being his favorite destination to both hike and photograph. He had a tremendous love of music that was only outshined by his love of the Dallas Cowboys and Boston Bruins.
Malcolms love of food extended into his career working as a chef with Horse feathers in Both North Conway NH and Portland, F. Parker Reidy's Portland, as a Chef and a manager for Hannaford’s.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia Blodgett of Farmingdale; mother, Cynthia Welch of Randolph; Sisters, Nancy Blodgett and Neal Adams of Augusta, Linda (Michael) Boody of Sebago; brother, David (Jeanne) Blodgett of North Conway, NH; stepson, Christopher Lourie of South Portland; mother-in-law, Betty Cribby of South Portland; brother-in-laws, David Cribby of South Portland, Bruce Cribby of South Portland, Danny (Karen) Cribby of Berthoud, CO; three aunts & many neices & nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation Sunday, February 19, 2012 starting at 2 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 3 pm at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St.
