Portland-Margaret Isabel Carmichael age 91 of Portland, Maine died Sunday June 22, 2014 at the Maine Medical Center. She was born in Portland on March 24, 1923 the daughter of John H. and Kathryn M. Condon Carmichael. Margaret was a graduate of Antrim High school, Antrim, NH. She worked as a bookkeeper for Nelson & Small retiring in 2009 after 45 Years.
She was predeceased by her brothers John (Burt), Thomas, and Malcolm Carmichael, and her sister Veronica Plowman.
She is survived by a brother Frank Carmichael of Merrimack, NH and several nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday June 27, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
