

Falmouth – Marie C. Brown passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Falmouth By The Sea. Marie (Villacci) Brown was born June 7, 1923 in Portland, Maine. She was the daughter of Vito and Esther J. Villacci.
Marie grew up in Falmouth and graduated from Falmouth High School. She lived most of her life in Falmouth. She was a member of the West Falmouth Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, was Chairman of the Flower Committee and taught Sunday School for over thirty years. Marie was Co-founder of the Falmouth Nursery School with her twin sister Rose Larabee. She was the Editor of the Falmouth Little League Newsletter, Third Base.
Marie was a past President of the Pro-Life Education Association, and was a very passionate leader.
Family was most important to Marie. She is survived by her three daughters, Amy O’Shea of North Yarmouth, Jeanne Gribbin of Cumberland, and Ellen Harford of Kennebunk. She was fondly known as “Gram” by her seven grandchildren, Christopher Pascale (wife Kate), Robert Pascale (wife Jess), Kathleen O’Shea (fiancée Jon Benard), Allison Gribbin, Chelsea Gribbin, Adena Harford Bright (husband Jamie), Micah Harford, and seven great- grandchildren, Chloe Pascale, Vincent Pascale, Maria Pascale, Lexi Pascale, Anthony Pascale, Cambria Benard, and Iah Bright. She is also survived by a brother Daniel Villacci of Cumberland, and many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Howard F. Brown; and five sisters – Madeline Bailey, Rose Larabee, Florence Caroline Ridgeway, Louise Smith, and Camilla Villacci, and eight brothers – Joseph Villacci, Fred Villacci, James Villacci, Frank Villacci, Justin Villacci, Gene Villacci, David Villacci, and Donald Villacci.
There will be no visiting hours. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 12th, at 10 a.m. at the West Falmouth Baptist Church, burial will be at Moss Side Cemetery, Cumberland in the spring.
