Mary Ann was born December 26, 1937 in Norway, ME, the daughter of Clara Parnell Cole and James Cole. She attended Portland schools and graduated from Deering High School in 1955.
Mary Ann’s life was centered around her family. She and her late husband Conrad Caron, raised four children (two sets of twins). Mary Ann always enjoyed following her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities and never missed a game, recital, or concert. Later in life Mary Ann was fortunate enough to channel her love of children into a successful business and started an infant daycare. She touched many families and was also able to care for her three granddaughters; Anna, Audrey, and Callie.
When she retired, she moved to her lake house on Little Sebago Lake in Gray, ME; where she enjoyed spending her summers since she was a little girl. She shared her love of the lake with her children and grandchildren and the family enjoyed many special times there. Summers were an especially busy time at the lake. Friends and neighbors enjoyed stopping and chatting with Mary Ann. She loved sitting on the deck and watching the fun activities on the beach. Mary Ann loved keeping in touch with her long time childhood friends. She always had a phone by her side eager to keep up on the latest news, (and gossip). Mary Ann was very fun loving and really enjoyed her frequent trips to Las Vegas with her daughters.
Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband Conrad in 1989, and is survived by her children, Connie Jean Caron of Winslow, Mary Jane Vermette and her husband Jeffrey of Windham, Mark Caron and his wife Donna of Falmouth, and Dana Caron and wife Sara of Alpharetta, Georgia; her three granddaughters, Anna Vermette, Audrey Caron and Callahan Caron, a brother James Cole and his wife Carolyn of Madisonville, Louisiana and her cousin Roberta Pash of Rochester, New York, brother-in-law Armand Caron and wife Beverly of Winslow, and many nieces and nephews.
