PORTLAND - Mary Conicelli, 88, died Sunday, Sept. 2. She was born in Portland, Jan. 15, 1930, the daughter of the late Frank and Victoria Cardilli Quinto, attending local schools. She married George P. Conicelli Sr., July 6, 1951. Mrs. Conicelli had been employed by the Village Café as a waitress and then worked for the Italian Heritage Club and the Portland Elks Lodge. She enjoyed playing poker, bingo and spending time with her family and extended family. Her husband George died in 1995. She was also predeceased by her brothers Joseph Quinto and Donald Cartonio, Sr. and her son, Thomas Conicelli. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Reali and her husband, Dominic, of Scarborough; four sons, Joseph Conicelli and his wife, Karen, of Topsham, George Conicelli Jr. of Las Vegas, Nev., Francisco "Frank" Conicelli and his wife, Susan, of Falmouth, and Michael Conicelli of Biddeford; one sister, Anita Quinto Balzano of Portland; grandchildren, Stephen Conicelli, Amy Conicelli Richardson and her husband, Ben, Kelsey Conicelli Detra and her husband, Colin and Jeffrey Conicelli; great-grandson, Thomas Richardson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call at the Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Sunday 3-6 p.m. A funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
