Mary was born to Saverio & Filomena (née Rossini) Viola in Portland, ME, one of 10 children. Mary helped take care of her siblings while attending and graduating from Portland schools in 1944. She spoke often of the time growing up on Newbury Street with her sister and eight brothers. She married Wilbur Lloyd Mayberry of Gorham, Maine in 1950 and moved to Falmouth.
To be able to wrap up Mary's significance in one paragraph is next to impossible. She cherished her time raising her seven children and spending time with her twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a very observant woman and an active listener.
The values instilled to her by her parents lived on and influenced her life greatly. Mary was a devoted Catholic and attended mass at the local churches. She was a very strong, independent woman who enjoyed her walks to Holy Martyrs and Town Landing. Her free time was never spent idly, as she loved to spend time outdoors gardening and in the kitchen cooking. She was much loved and will be greatly missed by many.
Mary was pre-deceased by her husband, Wilbur Lloyd, brothers Constantino (Joe), Pasquale (Pat), Benedetto (Benny) and Santino (Jack), and sister Tomasina Reynolds.
Mary is survived by her brothers Gaetano, Anthony, Saverio and Philip, her sister-in-law Patricia Runnells, her daughters Patty Robillard of Falmouth, Grace Fuller of Somersworth, NH, Mary Porter of Waterboro and Angela Yates of Cape Elizabeth, and sons Lloyd of Falmouth, Warren of Cape Elizabeth and Mark of Mechanic Falls. Mary also is survived by fourteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
