Mary A Scott

CUMBERLAND RI - Mary A. (Connor) Scott, 87, formerly of Cumberland, RI, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at The Cedars, Portland Maine. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard B. Scott, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.

Mary was born and raised in Cumberland, the youngest daughter of James R. and Mary B. (Kennedy) Connor. She resided in Portland, ME for the past 10 years, previously residing in Harwich, MA, Allison Park, PA and Cumberland, RI.

She was a former communicant of the Historic St. Joseph Church and volunteered with numerous organizations. She loved spending time with family and friends at her home on Cape Cod, trips to the beach and a stop at the Candy Manor with her grandchildren.

Mary leaves four sons: Richard (Judith) Scott of Cumberland, ME, Michael (Lori) Scott of Commerce City, CO, Joseph (Melissa) Scott of Monroeville, PA and James (Jennifer) Scott of Ft. Collins, CO; One sister; Ann Lanciano of Connecticut; ten grandchildren; Shannon (Jeffrey) Kelly, Allison (David) Wilson, Brendan Scott, Madison Scott, Katherine Scott; Kaitlyn (Jordan) Sukay , Sean Scott, Tyler Scott, Ryan Scott, and Rachel Scott; and eight great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Paul Connor, Helen Dean and James Connor.

Services were conducted locally with exceptional care by the staff of Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland. Funeral and Burial took place under the care of J. J.
