
Norman A. Galli, 83 died Saturday, October 29, 2011 following a period of declining health. He was born in Portland, November 23, 1927, the youngest child of Antonio and Mary Moscone Galli. He graduated from Deering High School, Bowdoin College, and Boston University Law School. He served with the Army during WW II. He had been an attorney with the law firm of Englander, Englander and Finks in Boston for over 35 years, returning to Portland after retiring in the early 1990s. He was predeased by his parents, his sister, Mrs. Gardiner (Marion) Morris and a brother, Dr. Arthur F. Galli. Survivors include two sisters, Celia Mooney of Yarmouth and Dorothy and her husband John Peverada, Jr. of Portland, a brother, James H. Galli of Portland, and a sister-in-law, Frances Galli of Portland and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at 75 State Street, and the Barron Center for the wonderful care they provided to Norman the past two years. Family and friends may attend an hour of visitation Thursday from 9:30 am to 10:30am at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St, Portland to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 673 Stevens Ave., Portland. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, So. Portland.
