Paul Scott Davis

Lewiston- Paul Scott Davis, 55, of Albany Township, ME, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2013. The son of Paul and Dorothy (Birkbeck) Davis, he was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey on August 2, 1958 and graduated from Midland Park High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College.

Scott was the General Manager and former owner of the Sudbury Inn in Bethel Maine. He was an accomplished pianist and lover of classical music and spent years visiting Klosters, Switzerland, where he has many friends. He was a member and a Director for The Metropolitan Club in New York City; a member of the Cumberland Club in Portland Maine; and a member of the Prouts Neck Country Club in Prouts Neck Maine.

Scott is survived by a brother, Robert Gary Davis of Narragansett, RI and a sister, Barbara Davis Hancock of Prouts Neck, Maine. Scott will be greatly missed by his entire family, including his nephew and nieces, aunts, and cousins, and his many, many friends … all of whom love him dearly and know him as the kindest, gentlest, and most generous of men.

An informal gathering of family and friends will take place in Bethel, Maine, in the near future (exact date to be determined), as well as a spring gathering at Prouts Neck, Maine, and another at Klosters, Switzerland, to honor his memory. Arrangements are under the care of Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland Maine.
