Peter Earle Jensen

Peter Earle Jensen 74 Winter Haven, Florida- Peter Earle Jensen age 74, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2017 in Winter Haven Florida. He was born April 25 1943, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. He was the son of Alice Louise Burkett & Stepfather Stacy Burkett. Peter graduated from South Portland High School Class of 1962. Peter Worked at Shaw's Supermarket and then went to Vietnam serving in the US Army. After military service, he went to Work selling Peterbilt Trucks for a few Year's. Then Rowe Ford in Westbrook Maine. In 2006, he married Karen Jensen from Portland and moved to Brunswick, Maine. Peter then worked at Brunswick School Dept. as a Bus Driver for 6 Years. Peter retired to Florida in 2013 where he Enjoyed working as a School Bus Driver for Polk County for 4 Years.

It was Peter's Dream to Retire in Florida where he enjoyed spending time in the Sunshine either in the Pool with the Neighborhood kids or on his Boat with Karen and Friends. He also enjoyed smoking on his Grill in his backyard. .

Peter was predeceased by his mother Alice Burkett, Step Father Stacy Burkett and just recently his Grandson Michael J. Jensen

He is survived by his wife Karen A. Jensen of Winter Haven Florida, Son Michael Jensen of South Portland, Son Travis Jensen (Tina Marshall) of Scarborough, and a Daughter Christine Jensen of Portland Maine, and a Son Brian Jensen of Westbrook Maine, Stepson Daniel Adams (Shelly Woodard) of Bangor, Raymond Adams ( Shannon Batson) of Waterboro, and a Step Daughter Corina Doyon of Kennebunk, and twelve grandchildren as well as three Great-Grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday July 19, 2017 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Jones Rich & Barnes Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. in Portland Maine. A graveside service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yarmouth on Thursday July 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Philip Shearman officiating and Military Honors performed by the US Army.
