

Portland - Reginald G. Wyman, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Reggie was born in Portland, ME on February 22, 1945, the son of Woodrow and Pearl (Beard) Wyman.
Reggie attended South Portland High School. In 1962, Reggie joined the Army where he served his country in the 82 Airborne and 2nd 504 during the Dominican Revolution. Upon his return, Reggie worked numerous jobs, until he found his niche working for Portland Fire Department in 1969. During that time,
Reggie also worked as a sign painter and vinyl letter designer. After 30 proud years of service working for Portland Fire Department, Reggie retired in 1999 as Deputy Fire Chief.
Reggie was a Golden Eagle of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 565 Portland and a life member of The VFW Post. 6859 in Portland.
During Reggie’s spare time, he loved spending time with his family and friends at his summer home, sailing, kayaking, fishing, canoeing, playing cards (especially Skat). November hunting at “Deer Camp” in Embden with the “Fearsome Four” and others. Reggie was very proud of his hole-in-one at Nonesuch, his completion of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, his trips summiting Mt. Katahdin on several different occasions, snowmobiling and four-wheeling.
Reggie leaves behind his loving wife of 49 years, Arlene (Michaud) Wyman; children, Reginald and wife Tammy, Christine Becker and husband Michael and Jessica Dascanio and husband Anthony; his grandchildren, Danielle, Matthew, Katelyn, Julia Grace and Ryan; a sister, Nancy Keefover and husband Vern. In addition to his parents, Reggie was predeceased by his brothers, Woody and Danny.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Barnes Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, ME. A Celebration of Reggie’s life with be held on November 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Jones, Rich & Barnes, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
