Rita was a lady that loved her family and would always make time for them. Her door was always open and Sunday was “Roni Day” with her family. She loved to bake and cook so having these meals and her family around always put a big smile on her face. Other than Italian food one of her specialties was cheesecake which she always made. Rita was a person that would be found out dancing and also singing with her many friends and sisters. If you knew Rita you would also know that she had a special knack for drawing and was told once or twice she was pretty good at it. Rita was a strong lady that loved her 6 children and would take them camping in Dexter at property they owned. People were so amazed that she did this with her kids at this age. In her younger years she was known as “Daniel Boone” for her ability to take them all out camping and get them all home safe. She loved to play cards with her sisters and they called themselves “the council.”
Rita is survived by her children Richard W. and his wife Christine Jerome of Buxton, Crystal V. and her husband Mark Wheeler of Standish, Mark A. Jerome of Biddeford, and Jeni V. Corradini of Scarborough; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Carrie R. Corradini, a son Charles W. Jerome, 3 sisters, and a brother.
