FALMOUTH - Roger H. Ripley, 84 passed away peacefully on August 31, 2018, at his home in Falmouth, Maine surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on December 31, 1933 in Limington, Maine, the adopted son of Pearl Atwood and Edith May Ripley. He married Nancy A. White on May 29, 1957 in Portland, Maine.
A graduate of Portland High School in 1951, he was a humble member of the Portland Boys Club and was inducted into the Maine Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the 1951 championship swim team. He loved to watch the Red Sox, camping, motorcycling, and traveling with his wife and family. Roger had a series of occupations before working for JJ Nissen Baking Co., Union Oil and Charlie Burnham Service Co. as a service technician.
Roger is survived by his five children; son Mike and his wife Selina, daughter Beth and her husband Tom Fox, daughter Kathi Robinson, son Steve and his wife Sammi, daughter Edie and her husband Scott Shean, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. John Bilodeau of Cape Elizabeth is remembered as a sincere and trusted lifelong friend. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, his siblings Velma, Geneva, Ralph, Shirley, Brad, Ernest and his parents.

A graveside service will be held at a later date to be determined at Pine Grove Cemetery in Falmouth.
