Ronald C. Church

Scarborough-Ronald C. Church age 65 of Portland, Maine passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Gosnell House surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born in Portland, Maine on May 20, 1947 the son of Charles K. and Rita C. Legasse Church. Ronald graduated from Portland High School in 1965 and joined the US Navy. After serving our country, Ronald worked in several greater Portland machine shops including 25 years at Hill Loma in Gorham. He enjoyed softball, bowling, camping, hunting, and was an avid golfer. In later years, he enjoyed electronics and video games which became his passion. He made several friends on line in the gaming community.

He leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Donna (Quatrano) Church of Portland, daughter Jennifer C. Waitkun and husband Peter C. Waitkun, daughter Jonica L. Church, loving sister in law Dolores Hogle and her husband Robert Hogle, many nieces and nephews, and family in Rhode Island cousin Robert Abbruzesse and wife Elizabeth.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday Nov. 14 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland. A graveside service will be held on Thursday Nov. 15 at 11 A.M. in the Brooklawn Memorial Park 2002 Congress Street Portland.
