PORTLAND - Rosa Marie (Giusti) Jacobsky, 91, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Baron Center in Portland. She was born in Portland on December 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Irene (Mancini) Giusti.
Rosa was Devout Catholic, regularly attending Mass at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Portland. She was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart Sodality. As a young girl, Rosa worked at a local farm, where she met the love of her life, Anthony Jacobsky Sr., and they later married after Anthony's return from the war. Rosa and Anthony shared a loving marriage of over 36 years, until Anthony's passing in 1982. Rosa spent her younger years working in a textile factory and later worked for family owned businesses including, Merdek's Variety and Colucci's Hilltop. One of Rosa's favorite past times was playing Bingo every week.
Rosa is survived by her two sons, Anthony Jr. and his wife Bridget of Portland, and Stephen and his wife Enola of Windham; her sister, Carol Ann Giusti of Portland; her brother, Nicholas Giusti of New Gloucester; her 6 grandchildren, Lynn-Marie, Anthony III, Rebecca, Jeffrey, Stephen Jr., and Kara Mia; her 3 great-grandchildren, Bronson, Bridget and Vivian, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her sister, Mary Griffin; and her brothers, Camille, Robert and Santino.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 8am to 9am. Prayers will be recited immediately following the visitation at Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10am at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland, Maine 04101. A committal will immediately follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway, South Portland, Maine 04106.
