

She was born in Clifford, N.J. the daughter of Fabio and Theresa DiPietrantonio Ciccone. Rose moved to Portland at the age of 3 where she would attend Portland schools.
Rose and her late husband Alphonse Mangino owned and operated Hilltop Market at 135 Congress Street for 32 years until they retired in 1977.
Rose will be dearly remembered by all her children, grandchildren and friends for all of the crochat Afghan's she made to which she added a signature rose and dated.
Rose was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, a member of the Sacred Heart Sodality, and a lifetime member of the Italian Heritage Center.
Besides her husband, she is predeceased by her 2 Brothers, John & Charles Ciccone, 4 Sisters; Laura DiPaolo, Assunta Ferrante, Antoinette Ricci, Margaret Dhal, and her granddaughter, Kristen O'Brion.
Rose leaves 3 daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Antoinette) Nappi, Mrs. Freeman (Josephine) Dulac, Mrs. Richard (Theresa) Whitmore all of Portland, 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren.
There will be no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Saturday October 13, 2012 at 10 am at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the family lot at New Calvary Cemetery, So. Portland. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roses's memory to St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St, Portland, Me 04101.
