

She was born on April 29, 1930 in Portland, the daughter of Regina M. (Ganem) Creech. She graduated from Cathedral High School and went on to business school and earned her degree in accounting. On November 6, 1954, she married Frank J. Morey in Portland where she spent the majority of her adult life before moving to Westbrook in 2003.
Rose worked at Brown Ship Chandlery in Portland, retiring after more than 40 years.
Rose was a communicant of Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Morey; a son, Daniel J. Morey and a granddaughter Deanna.
She is survived by a son, Michael A. Morey and his wife Susan of Oakland; two daughters, Elizabeth A. (Morey) Soper and her husband William of Gorham and Kathryn R. (Morey) Vento and her husband Charles of North Yarmouth; a sister Mary J. (Ryan) Meuse, affectionately known as Babe, of Gray and Port Charlotte, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Shannon Rae, Kristine, Tabitha, Joseph, Sara, Travis, Martin, Jaclyn and Samantha; and a niece, Regina Prince of New York, as well as other extended family.
Rose enjoyed her pet dogs over the years, classic movies, Lifetime and Shop NBC. She was an avid collector of jewelry and liked to cook.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Thursday May 12, 2011 from 6-8pm at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford Street, Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 13, 2011 at 9:00 AM at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception 307 Congress St. Portland. Interment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
