Mrs. Pinansky was my 3rd grade teacher at Morrill's School, Portland, Maine. It was a long time ago, the school no longer exist and I can't even remember what year I was in 3rd grade.

What I do remember, is the manner in which she taught multiplication. She used a felt, wall hanging replica , of a bean stalk. Each week we studied a new number. Each morning we reviewed and recited out loud.

I'm sorry to read of her passing. She was a great teacher. She ran a tight ship and its probably because of this I remember my "times tables" and her so well.

Again, sorry for your loss.
