

Ted was a U.S. Army Veteran, Quality Control Engineer and restaurateur – owning the Towne-Lyne Restaurant in Gray, ME for over 25 years. He resumed playing golf after retiring and scored his first hole-in-one at the age of 75. He was a member of Riverside Golf Club in Portland and always looked forward to meeting his golf buddies on the course twice a week. Ted was also an avid Patriots fan but nothing made him happier than being surrounded by his friends and family at camp on Little Sebago Lake.
Theodore was predeceased by his father, Harold I. Craven and step-mother Barbara (Stone) Craven – as well as his mother Jacquelyn (Sullivan) Craven and brother Howard (Jack) Craven.
He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Pamela (Rayner) Craven; a brother, Joel C. Craven and his wife Eunice (Hall) Craven of Denver, CO; his children, Carrie Craven of San Diego, Steven Craven and his wife Rolande of Portland, Theodore Craven Jr. of Portland, Debra Craven Lavoie and her husband Mark Lavoie of Portland and Teresa Craven of Stratford, CT. Ted is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Steven, Leah, Michael and Gregory all of whom shared his love for fishing, watersports and the loons.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Jones Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. Friends and relatives are also invited to join Ted’s family for a “Celebration of Life”, on Saturday, from 6:00 to 9:00pm, in the Grill Room at the Riverside Golf Club, 1158 Riverside Street, Portland, ME.
