

T.J. grew up in Portland, and was a 1989 graduate of Deering High School. He earned his degree in Environmental Sciences at SMCC. T.J. was a skilled and accomplished hockey player, excelled in motor sports, and loved collecting and restoring off-road vehicles, boats and watercraft, and vintage automobiles. T.J. loved being outdoors, and enjoyed going on fishing trips to Jackman, and snowmobile trips to far northern Maine.
T.J. was the owner and operator of T.J.’s Services. He was a master builder and skilled mechanic. T.J.was an imaginative and artful craftsman. He adored children, his own and many others, giving his time to teach them about everything from arts and crafts, and music, to natural wonders around Little Sebago Lake. He especially enjoyed spending time with his two children, Arlene and Chevy. T.J. adored his longtime pets, his golden retrievers Emmitt and Lola.
Richard is survived by his wife, Janelle L. Goff; daughter, Arlene; son, Chevy; father, Richard Sr. and wife Diane ; mother, Susan Ledoux Goff; sister, Jessica Corriveau and her husband Ben; a niece, Josie, and nephew, Beau; his brother-in-law Fred Fillinger IV and his wife Elizabeth; nephews Bailey and Dylan, and niece Kayla. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and many dear friends. He is predeceased by his sister Angel Goff; paternal grandparents Richard and Josephine Goff; maternal grandparents, Robert and Annette Ledoux; two uncles, Albert and Charles Ledoux, and aunt, Kathy Grindle.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a time of visitation from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, March 8, at Jones Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, March 9, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 268 Brown St. Westbrook.
