

Tomassina V. Reynolds, age 92, of Northwood Drive, formerly of Frost St., Portland, died Sunday morning, January 20, 2013, at Sedgewood Commons after a long illness.
She was born in Portland, the daughter of Sevario and Filomena Rossini Viola, where she attended local schools graduating from Portland High School Class of 1938.
Tomassina was employed as a baker for the Portland School Department for 30 years until her retirement.
She was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Sodality, and also was a volunteer at St. Rocco’s Bazaar at St. Peter’s Catholic Church for more than 60 years. She and her husband were members of the Cumberland Motor Club, and enjoyed many years of rallying throughout New England. One of her greatest joys was cooking breakfast on Sunday mornings for any and all family members and friends that showed up at her kitchen door.
She is predeceased by her husband, William C. Reynolds, and 4 brothers; Santino “Jack” Viola, Benjamin Viola, Pat Viola, and Joe Viola.
She is survived by two sons, William B. Reynolds of Cumberland, Thomas Reynolds of South Portland, and a daughter, Filomena and her husband Michael Troiano of South Portland, a sister, Mary Mayberry of Falmouth, and brothers Gaetano, Samuel, Philip Viola all of South Portland and Anthony Viola of Portland. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2013, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Prayers will be recited on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on Federal Street with Rev.
