

Vivian was born on April 26, 1950, in Portland, Maine, to Emery Ellis Thomas and Mae Margaret Livingston. She grew up in the Portland area where she was able to make strong social connections and become iconic in her community settings.
Vivian dedicated many meaningful years to the Portland Senior Center, where she volunteered for programs such as Meals on Wheels and participated in numerous charitable events. Her bold personality and unique perspective earned her the Free Spirit Award from Goodwill Industries of Northern New England, recognizing her creativity, imagination, and sense of adventure. She was also honored with the Masterpiece Award from Goodwill Industries of Maine, Inc., reflecting the lasting impression she made on those around her.
She shared a loving, long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Brian, who brought her great happiness. Vivian is survived by her guardian, Kelly, and her beloved grandchildren, Oriah and Darius. She was predeceased by her parents. She also had two brothers, Emery (Lucky) and Philip (Junior), from whom she was estranged.
Burial February 13, at 11:00 AM at Brooklawn Memorial Park 2002 Congress Street in Portland. After her burial, family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering at Port Resources 280B Gannett Drive South Portland ME .
Vivian will be remembered for her generous heart, artistic spirit, and the joy she brought to her friends and family. Her legacy of laughter and individuality will not be forgotten.
