Weldon Franklyn Winchester, Jr.

Weldon (Don) F. Winchester, Jr. died on Tuesday the 21st of June, in Portland, Maine, he was 74 years old.

He was born in Portland, ME on April 8, 1937 to Weldon F. and Florence Winchester. He is survived by:

His sister Judy Carmichael, Des Moines, Iowa, her husband Robert and their children.

His daughter, Susan Winchester Johnson of Silverhill, Alabama and her Husband Bryan and their children.

His son John W. Winchester of Portland, Maine and his partner Thomas.

His longtime companion Penny Lowell, her sons and her daughter Christian Grygent of Cataumet, Massachusetts her husband Ed, and their children.

He is predeceased by his parents and his beloved sisters Joan E. Winchester and Melanie Barter.

Mr. Winchester was very proud to have served his country in the United States Navy.

He was very active as a Past Patron in the Cornerstone Order of the Eastern Star and other Masonic bodies. He loved reading, gardening, crossword puzzles and collected both coins and stamps.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Saturday June 25, 2011 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland where a funeral service and Eastern Star services will follow at 7:00 at the funeral home. Graveside committal services and interment with military honors will be held at a later date.
