Adam graduated from Grant High School in Portland, OR in 1984 where he excelled at football and track. Adam, his brother Alex, and his son, Harrison, all set jumping records for Grant. Adam earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Oregon State University and his MBA from the University of Washington. Adam excelled in business and leadership. Over his long working career, he led sales, marketing and operations teams in various industries. In recent years, he led Operations at Vetsource. Adam had a high degree of intellectual curiosity, infectious energy, wit and kindness. Most importantly, he helped so many succeed and achieve their personal and professional goals. He was an accomplished track and field coach, preparing most of his athletes to compete at the collegiate level. In his personal time, Adam loved being with family. He took great pride in his children and watching each of them succeed in work and creative pursuits. He was an avid woodworker, with a keen ability to build and fix just about anything to near perfection. Making beautiful things for others and helping them see their true potential was his greatest pleasure in life.
Adam is survived by his longtime partner, Jill; his former wife, Kim, their daughter; Maddie and sons; Harrison and Ashton; his mother, Maya and sister; Adrienne. We find great comfort knowing Adam is now with his adored father, Harry Schrage, who passed away in 1973 and his beloved brother Alex Schrage who also passed away in 2017. Since Adam was an avid collector and lover of pets, donations can be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
A memorial celebration will be held from 3p.m to 5p.m., Sept. 29th at Central Lutheran Church, 1820 NE 21st, Portland, OR. Please sign the online guest book with photos and/or memories, as this will become a treasured keepsake for the family. Adam Schrage Obituary - Portland, OR
