Born Adrian Diane Guerra on December 23, 1983 in Portland, Oregon. Adrian spent most of his school and young adult years in Vancouver, Washington. Over the years he held several jobs, primarily in customer service. Through these jobs, he met many people that would go on to become close friends. Adrian had a passion for animals of all kinds; always joking that he was going to add all kinds of critters to his menagerie. He enjoyed many aspects of pop culture, specifically all things related to Batman. He loved to visit the beach and found the most peace just staring out at the vast ocean. When possible, Adrian enjoyed going camping and getting away from home. He had a love of travel and always dreamed of visiting many exotic places. In 2009, Adrian met Cristina and the two were married three years later. Over the years, Adrian and Cristina adopted several pets, which Adrian loved with all his heart. No bond was as strong as the one he had with Sheldon, his long-haired dachshund. Although Adrian and Cristina did eventually decide to part ways, they remained close friends and maintained a love and respect for one another. In early 2016, Adrian took the bold step to live the life he felt he was meant to live. He thus began his transition into the person he knew he should be; choosing to start living as a male and leaving behind the female he never felt he was. Throughout a large part of his life, Adrian fought a long battle with depression. Although he was often overcome by negative feelings he was a bright force to so many around him. He was a joy to be around and despite dark times, he made people smile with his charm and witty one-liners that all his family and friends will fondly remember forever. He leaves behind his mother, Marolyn; brothers: Jeff (Alisa), John (Jennifer) and Jason; sisters: Kelly (Eric), Traci (Roger), Amy (Chad) and Jodi, many nieces and nephews; his dogs, Sheldon and Juniper and cats, Evelyn and Anubis. Donations in Adrian’s name may be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or any other suicide prevention organization of your choice. Adrian’s passing is difficult for the many people he touched in his short time, but though his dynamic and memorable life, his legacy will live on in so many hearts.
